The 5am wake up call was well worth it for this beautiful sunrise engagement session in the central mountains of Washington State. S & J had originally planned to hike to a fire lookout off of highway 2 on this late September morning. But our plans quickly changed after the Bolt Creek Fire broke out. We decided on this beautiful stump filled lake instead, and it did not disappoint!
As I made my way out of the city and onto Highway 2, the sky went from a deep brilliant blue to beautiful hues of orange and red. My drive continued on until I met up with a long and winding gravel road that lead me to this stunning location right as the sun was cresting over the mountains. S & J were willing to meet me there, ready to go, in the early hours of the morning. There wasn’t another person in sight, which makes the early morning so so worth it. I highly recommend a sunrise adventure session for your engagement photos!
